Jalen Milroe was born in Katy, Texas, where, he attended Tompkins High School. During his junior year, he threw for 2,689 yards and 29 touchdowns. He added an additional eight touchdowns rushing and 378 yards.
During his senior year in 2020, he passed for 1,136 yards and 13 touchdowns. During the entirety of his high school career, he tallied 3,825 passing yards, 559 rushing yards, and 53 total touchdowns. In addition, he led Tompkins to over 30 wins in three seasons.
After his high school career, he initially committed to Texas before deciding to switch to the University of Alabama. There, during his freshman season, he was the backup to sophomore quarterback Bryce Young. As a result of this, he was redshirted.
Aside from his collegiate career, in his personal life, he identifies as a Christian. In 2022, he officially got baptised.
