A British comedy drama centered around a dysfunctional group of teens, Skins followed three “generations” of teens over the course of the show each dealing with their own issues. Generation one storylines are explored through season one and two, generation two spreads through season three and four, and generation three throughout season five and six. During the show’s second generation, Kathryn Prescott played Emily Finch, a shy girl who often lives in the shadow of her more outgoing twin Katie (played by Kathryn’s real-life twin Megan). When she finds herself falling for another girl, she sees there’s more to life than being someone’s copy and soon starts to express herself. Since then, Prescott has appeared in 6 movies and 12 television shows.
