He didn't screw his career on purpose. He has a personality defect in addition to being dumb as hair. Cute and hung, though. He probably did lots of BPD things in his young adulthood, and this was the first catastrophically self-sabotaging one.

If he were normal, and reasonable intelligent, he would have immediately offered mea culpas and done some lame treatment and walked away from the damage.

I never knew him before this incident. I watched first season of that show he was in afterwards. I like him. I no longer give a shit about what he did and would watch him in something else. If you can create a character that I enjoy I don’t care that much about the actor behind it

Jussie is just being discriminated against because he is black, he didn't do anything wrong.

I was hoping he would dump Empire, a trashy show, and pursue a music career because he has a good voice. He isn't his sister, Jurnee, who can actually act but he has musical talent. Jussie did release a solo album that I enjoyed and it got decent play on R&B stations. I was hoping his sophomore album would find him collabing with hot producers and get him some real hits. Of course he had to ruin his potential with this stunt and he seems mentally unhinged or a drug addict or something which shattered the media illusion he put of being a down-to-earth well-adjusted gay black man. Don't meet your idols they say I guess.
