The New Jersey Devils decided to make their Monday matinee against the Florida Panthers ‘Kids Day,’ and they had some pretty cool initiatives in place to make the day special for the young ones.
One of the neat promos the Devils had for Kids Day occurred in the pre-game warm-up. Instead of having a well-edited hype video to introduce the players, the team used hand-drawn photos by children and the drawings are absolutely amazing.
Really cool Kids game at @NJDevils game today. There will be a kid reporter, kid PA announcer, kid national anthem singer and drawing of players by young fans will appear on four story scoreboard during intros. pic.twitter.com/mkiochVHf3

That is absolute gold.
The Devils didn’t stop there, either. New Jersey also had an in-arena kid reporter interview star defenceman P.K. Subban prior to puck drop.
That’s something he’ll definitely tell his friends about at school tomorrow.
New Jersey, however, couldn’t get the job done on Monday. Despite leading 4-1 during the second period, the Devils allowed five unanswered goals to lose 6-4.
Even still, the Devils still made it a memorable day for the kids.
